Bilingual Speech/Language Evaluator
Bilingual (Spanish preferred) Speech-language pathologists needed to conduct formal evaluations/testing in Suffolk County. May have some opportunity to do evaluations in the Nassau County office as well. Must have bilingual extension for NYS.

• CSE evaluations - school-aged children in Nassau County

• must be able to work as part of a team - consulting team members when necessary

Requirements:

• Team/Positive attitude and solid interpersonal skills

• Excellent communication skills for both parent and coworker interaction along with strong writing skills.

Special Education Itinerate Teacher (SEIT)

SEIT teachers needed in both Suffolk and Nassau counties. Must be a caring, compassionate person who enjoys working with preschoolers. As a SEIT, you will be working on the social/emotional, behavioral and cognitive goals for preschoolers who qualify for the CPSE program. ABA and bi-lingual (any language) is a plus. 10-month school calendar with the possibility of an additional 6-week summer session depending on the child's needs. You must be a NYS Certified Special Education teacher with a Birth - 2nd grade certification. Only resumes with the Birth-2 certification will be considered for this position.

PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Kids First is seeking Occupational Therapists to work with our families in our busy pediatric Nassau and/or Suffolk county offices and surrounding homes/preschools located in both Westbury and Deer Park. At Kids First, you will work with professionals from many disciplines including PT, Speech, Special Education, Social Workers, CPSE and EI team members as well as administrative staff. Kids First provide professional supervision and a supportive work environment! This career opportunity requires a passion and enthusiasm to work within the following populations:

• Early Intervention - Birth to 3

• CPSE - ages 3 to 5

• CSE - ages 5 and up

 

This is a fee-for-service position and can include EI, CPSE, and CSE cases that come into the office with the possibility of also on the road cases at local schools, preschools, daycares, and homes. You will be required to evaluate, diagnose and treat children who require intervention due to delays in fine motor skills, sensory and/or adaptive functioning. Candidates will be asked to conduct both CPSE and EI evaluations as part of a multi-disciplinary team and write family-friendly, thorough evaluations to identify a child’s strengths as well as any weaknesses. Evaluations include the PDMS-2, Sensory Profile, clinical observation, and parent/caregiver interview. Knowledge of entering information and navigating the websites CPSE Portal, NYSEIS, and Frontline IEP is preferred; will train as needed.
